Calibration

At CanTorque, we understand that precision is paramount when it comes to assembly and disassembly of threaded fasteners.

That’s why our calibration services are at the core of what we do. We believe that operating accurately is just as important as having the right tool in your hands.

ISO 9001 Certified

CanTorque has been ISO9001 certified since 2005.  Our calibration lab has strict controls on cleanliness as well as temperature.

Our repair and calibration procedures are also documented and scrutinized annually by a 3rd party auditor.

You can be assured of consistent and predictable delivery of our calibration services when dealing with CanTorque.

Fully
Temperature-Controlled Lab

When you choose CanTorque for calibration, you can trust that your torque tools will be properly serviced and calibrated prior to use.

We have invested in state-of-the-art HVAC equipment to ensure that our lab’s temperature does not fluctuate by more than 1 degree C +/-

We Only Calibrate Reputable Brands

Mechanical torque wrenches are not tools-they’re instruments! If your process is critical enough to require the use of such an instrument-shouldn’t it be accurate?

Our calibration services cover a broad range of torque tools, ensuring that your entire inventory meets the necessary standards for precise and consistent performance.

We do not work on the following:

Westward
Jet
Procor
Mastercraft
Powermaster
Powerfist
Husky

Direct, Upfront Calibration Solutions

At CanTorque, we are direct and upfront in solving your calibration needs.

Our dedicated team of experts utilizes advanced calibration equipment and techniques to ensure accuracy and compliance.
We follow rigorous procedures to deliver reliable results, making sure your torque tools are ready to perform at their best.

How often does my torque wrench require calibration?

As an ISO9001 certified laboratory we are not able to specify calibration intervals. It is up to each individual company or industry to determine their standard.

If your tool has been dropped, exposed to moisture or otherwise abused it is a good idea to take it out of service and have its accuracy verified

What does a typical calibration include?

Firstly, your tool will sit at least overnight to acclimate to the temperature in our lab.

We will then give your torque wrench a complete inspection for any obvious signs of damage.

Your ratchet will be disassembled, cleaned, inspected, reassembled and lubricated.

We will then begin the calibration process; making adjustments if necessary

If there is extensive cleaning or any repairs required you will receive an estimate from CanTorque prior to us proceeding

If my tool can't be brought into specification can I replace it?

Yes!

Our mechanical torque wrench inventory is massive and covers a range from ozf/in (inch ounce) screwdrivers to 2000 Lbf/ft mechanical torque wrenches.

We’ll have you up and running before you know it!

What is your calibration capacity?

We can calibrate as low as 10 Lbf/in (inch-pounds) up to 1000 Lbf/ft in our laboratory.

We can calibrate tools up to 60,000 Lbf/ft in our shop with a combination of static and rundown transducers.

Do you calibrate anything else?

We can calibrate 10,000 PSI and 25,000 PSI pressure gauges to support the gauges on our hydraulic torque and tension pumps
